The concert will take place at The Arts Company gallery in Nashville, TN on November 11, 2006 at 7:00pm. The Arts Company is located at 215 Fifth Avenue North near intersection with Church Street.
Press Release Body = The Bleu Cadence was conceived in September 2006 as a result of a project to create an eclectic combination of musical personalities that would reach across various types of the music. The core of the band consists of Steve Boyd - vocals, bass and acoustic guitars, music and lyrics, Kasia Stepniowska from Poland - vocal, and Mario DaSilva from Brazil - acoustic and electric guitar.
Steve Boyd has been visible on the Nashville music scene since late 70's when he became the base player and the main contributor of the material for an acclaimed band the White Animals. His unusual skills as a songwriter and musician took him through his own bands, hundreds of performances, several records and sharing stage with known bands and accomplished musicians . In his continuous search for excellence and new sounds Steve Boyd was able to create an unusual new band composed of very diverse musicians of multiple nationalities and ready for the challenges of his projects.
Kasia (Katarzyna Stepniowska) is an unusual, classically trained vocalist from Poland. Her colorful vocal career begun in early childhood with public performances, through TV and theater productions, 5-year appearance in Puccini's La Boheme at the operahouse in Krakow and quickly evolved toward the jazz where she excelled while working with the best European jazz musicians and various jazz formations. Since September 2006 she has committed nearly all of her professional time to collaboration with Steve Boyd.
Mario DaSilva is an extremely accomplished musician and educator. As an acoustic classical guitar player he has mastered a truly perfect technique and outstanding ability for the interpretation of music ranging from the classical and jazz to latin and rock music. With hundreds of performances and numerous records, Mario has devoted a substantial part of his abilities and talent to the education of young and promising musicians at the Belmont University in Nashville.
